Police Brutality

Disgusting. The police are empowered to use necessary force to protect themselves and other citizens from immediate danger and to take suspects into custody. A man lying motionless on the ground is not a threat and is not resisting arrest.

They are not empowered to use force to dish out street justice. Everyone is innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

I feel for the cops, and can imagine the emotions and adrenaline having seen a colleague being hit by a car, but that does not make them above the law.

Shoulda killed him. What if that was your brother he attempted to run over? How about your wife, or even one of your children? He deserved far worse than what he received. Its nice to see that some police are still human. If they would have followed procedure and just took him in i would have ZERO respect for those officers. The color thing makes it appear to be a racial issue but i would expect no less if the roles were switched or matched.

Guy deserved to get his a$$ beat and more but for some strange reason I think it would've had more effect if the guy was actually conscience!?!? After watching the video they all looked like a bunch of chumps and now the police will probably get sued...

The guy didnt try to run over the cop, he tried to avoid the spike strips and the cop was in the way.

This irrelevant, police are given power and they should not abuse it, regardless of the circumstances surrounding the events.....

with the amount of publicity that went in to this, im certain the judge would not let them go easy. The amount of uproar from the citizens will be more brutal then what they did to him.
