iND | Alcon "Super kit" for E9X M3
Alcon has been a company that thrives on innovation since the day the business was started in 1984 specifically to manufacture braking components for Audi Sport’s infamous Group B rally program. The mid 80s were truly a unique time for Motorsport with new technologies absolutely revolutionizing racing, and Alcon was forced to fight to keep up with developments in aerodynamics, turbocharging, and of course Audi’s amazing Quattro all wheel drive system. As a company that has been forced to be an innovator since it’s inception, Alcon still lives and breathes innovation to this day. Alcon’s commitment to innovation can be seen in their successes in nearly every form of motorsport since the company barreled to the market in the mid 80s, and this commitment is even more evident in Alcon’s position as a brake manufacturer in today’s market. Australia’s V8 Supercars series uses Alcon products exclusively. Every winning Indy car since 2003 has achieved it’s victory using an Alcon product. Citroen has achieved seven successive World Rally Championship Driver’s Titles using Alcon brakes. Alcon is also a leading original equipment supplier to some of the world’s most prestigious marques such as Audi, Bentley, Brabus, Jaguar and Land Rover. Alcon’s experience on and off the track makes them a perfect choice for our clients. Alcon “SuperKit” big brake kit for the E9x M3 includes 6 piston monobloc front caliper and 4 piston monobloc rear caliper for improved pedal feel and response. The calipers are designed to maximize the pad area and volume for better temperature management, and come loaded with Pagid RS9-2 high performance road pads for great performance on the street and track. To make WSTO’s Alcon program more complete, we have also developed the Pagid RS-29 compound in the appropriate pad shapes for the more serious track day driver. Alcon’s brake kit also includes 384x34mm front discs and 370mm rear discs for a significant improvement in available brake torque over the factory system. Alcon’s bespoke floating disc drive system is also included to allow for thermal expansion of the disc material while still maintaining a noise-free operation on the street. Alcon’s discs feature a unique crescent groove pattern which allows for improved gas release, increased initial bite, and improved durability over drilled discs.

Can you measure the initial thickness of the Pagids that come with it? Also, do you happen to know if the thickness numbers Pagid is quoting on it's site (http://www.pagid-brake-pads.co.uk/ca...ds/bmw-m3.html) are including the backing plate or if it's just the material?
I'm trying to determine relative pad life of Pagids in this kit vs. race pads in stock calipers based on my experience with both, but I do not have the initial pad thickness numbers for either... Thanks a lot! |

Honestly I dont get how Klammers M3 looks so good with the Dinan Kit. He has camber plates as well, and the drop looks perfect.
I wonder if Dinan drops the sedan a bit more. |
