curb rash as far as longevity?

I have some decent curb rash on my 19's (and my 18 snows), just wondering if not fixing them would have any long-term issues. I'm pretty much betting that I will damage them again if i do get them fixed since im still used to the fat tires of my old suv, im not always careful with curbside parking. anyways just wondering if there is anything i should worry about if i just leave the damage there.

If you are in an area where they use salt, it may start to affect the aluminum without the paint protection. I would wait until spring, and practice your parking it the meantime. Using the passenger mirror tilt down feature really helps in parallel parking.

I know what the OP means. I drove a pickup truck for awhile and curbs really didn't matter. My parking technique was run the tire up the curb and then off so I know I'm close to the curb.

One day after driving my truck for awhile, I almost ran my BMW up the curb.

Its not necessarily poor parking skills.
