Hey guys, I'm just about ready to order my new tires.

I'm going to go with 295/30/19 in the rear, and 245/35/19 front. I was wondering if anyone ran this setup and encountered excessive understeer. I'm debating if I should run 255/35/19 front, even though I will rub slightly for sure. If anyone has any feedback on this setup please let me know!

Wheel offsets, 19x9 +22, 19x10 +20. Tires will be Yokohama AD08.

Tom's M3 has 265/30/19 AD08s in front and 295/30/19 AD08s in the rear with an aggressive drop and there isn't any rubbing. The wheels are VMR CSLs 19"x9.5" +22 fronts, 19"x10" +25.

running 265/35/19 and 295/30/19 PS2 on TE37 and it rubs a bit on large bumps at speed on OEM suspension. The car feels pretty neutral on the street with some curvy roads but thats as far as public roads go, have not pushed it too hard. I would say do at least a 255 in the front to minimize front and rear size difference.

From what I've seen given proper offset

Front

255/35 rubs
265/35 rubs
265/30 no rub
275/30 no rub

Rear

Anything up to 305/30 fits, even lowered on H&R or Eibachs. Askiles has 305/30-19 on the rear of his car with no rub.

Again this is just what I've seen for myself, your mileage may vary.

With my Volk G2s I'm doing 275/30 front and 295/30 rear in order to stay at a 20mm stagger and keep the speedometer pretty close to being accurate.

No rub with 255/35 on OEM front wheels on Dinan springs and camber plates.

I had 9" +22 with 255/35/19 INVOs and I rubbed. I just got 5mm spacers so makes it 9" +17 and now I do NOT rub!

I also have 9" ET22 255/35/19 no rub.

How's the oversteer/understeer?

I've done a little more research and I think I'm going to stay with 245/35 in front and do 275/30 in the back. Why? The AD08 is really wide. Here is a photo of a 245 width AD08 on a 10" rim. It fits perfectly. So with my 9.5" wide fronts, a 245/35 AD08 will be perfect.

In the back I could probably get away with a 265/30 but I'm going to do 275/30 just to get a little extra sidewall.

Well, I think you should seriously reconsider that decision.

The 265/30/19 Neova AD08's run a little bigger than the average 265/30 tire.

The rolling diameter is 25.4" vs. 25.8" stock. Yes it's slightly smaller, but it's guaranteed not to rub. (under any circumstances)

That .4" difference isn't going to dramatically change the ride quality much at all.

I can just about guarantee you that the 255/35/19 AD08's will rub just like your INVO's did.

Unless I'm mistaken, I doubt that you want want a replay of that situation?

Remember, your car is lowered on H&R springs. That reduces your fitment options without some type of rubbing involved. (especially in the front) The larger aftermarket tire and wheel combination, can cause clearance problems that are not easily rectified. You are fighting an uphill battle. It seems that you might be a little too stubborn here.

One other thing...

If are are determined to go with 295/30/19 in the rear, then a 265/30/19 tire makes more sense. (fitment wise) This tire sizing upgrade will help dial out the wicked understeer you would feel, with the 245/35/19 front and 295/30/19 rear setup you are considering now. That will change the balance of the car in a negative way.

19x9.5 +22 255/35 PS2s no rubbing whatsoever on the stock suspension.

I have 19x10.5 +25 295/30 rears, and there is not much gap under the fender which is why i haven't done the dinan springs.

Man with 295s out back I wouldn't run any less than a 265 in front and a 275 would be better. All I can tell you is I am rocking 19x9.5 +22 and 19x10.5 +20 lowered on H&R with 275/30 and 295/30 tires and no rubbing. I feel this is the perfect tire combination for a 295 rear.

How agressive do you drive? Is your setup just for looks? or have you taken this setup to the track and pushed it to the limits? Only after pushing the M3 to the envelope then you can guarantee no rubbing!

I have done full suspension travel tests in the rear to ensure no rubbing on the rear fender and have done full lock test in the front to ensure no rubbing of the fender liners. I don't take the M3 to the track as I am building a seperate track car, but I have done aggressive cornering and loaded the suspension with no rubbing.
