Coding thanks to TLP!!!

Some time ago, TLP enabled some "hidden" options in my car as a friendly favor. Then my car got recoded elsewhere and some options got whacked... Then my car ended up having to be updated by the dealer so it wiped out all of my past options (working and the broken ones) all together.

TLP offered to fix everything for me for FREE so I graciously took him up on that today. I tried to pay him just because I felt like I should, but he wouldn't take it.

I got EVERYTHING REDONE from nag screens, gongs, empty tank at 1/8th, dvd in motion, amber delete, windows up/down, etc, etc. etc.

Oh yea! he added DCS OFF to my M button settings. Meaning, I can turn DSC off with a press of the M button! Not to many have this feature from what I understand. I love it!

And one that I did not have... EURO MDM mode! What a difference that MDM mode is over our US version. I never used MDM mode because it would slow me down when I would shift while cornering. It drove me nuts! I wouldn't even been anywhere near out of control and it would kick in. Not anymore! Euro MDM mode works SO much better. Now you can actually corner without it kicking in 24/7.

So thank you very much Terry!

Everything you said you had put back are non-issues for some of us. Not sure why you would mess with it. Just me though.

Cool that whatever he did for you was free.

I disagree. You do want these options. You just don't know it yet.
These are options already in the car. They can be toggled on or off. It's not "messing" with it. It's enjoying it!

I have seen other M3s with some of these options but since I am not in the car that often other than the long drive from Oregon and I watched "The Avengers" twice on the road from my downloads and everything was super fast with no issues. Otherwise its iPhone music only. But I could agree to disagree to a point. Some owners like this.

You like the accept screen???
Why wouldn't you want folding mirrors with the key or door handle?

I didn't think people did this?

Brake, downshift, turn, accelerate, upshift if needed...
Though DCT does make shifts seamless and easy

Many people have DSC off in the M-Drive Settings.

This was standard in 2008. In subsequent software versions BMW removed that option, and then it was added back again. New cars should already have this feature enabled.

Think of a left hand turn at a stop sign. You hit the gas to go. About 1/2way thru the intersection, you shift into 2nd and the DSC lights up. I drive pretty quick 0- speed limit though so perhaps Im asking for DSC to kick in.

My MY12 built in late march 2012 did not have DSC off in m-drive, i had to code it in.

You should take a HPDE with the BMWCCA if you drive like that!!
Doesn't matter how fast you think you're driving, it's still bad driving.

Your missing the whole point...

I'm not saying I'm driving fast. I'm not saying I want to drive fast. I was simply trying to explain how the normal MDM mode would kick in more than euro MDM mode does. Perhaps I used a bad example to explain this.

Thanks for your 2 cents though.
