I just got a 2010 Jeep SRT8 and couldnt be happier. Great reliability zero problems with the truck yet. ive modded it as well for cheap and its very quick and handles great now (tune, intake, exhaust, springs). Mike.

Also consider MDX, RDX, New X3 or slightly used X5 .

I've seen these things occasionally and i have to add that they seem to not have the personality of an SUV (imo). It looks like an alternative hatchback.

Hi Guys,

Thanks for the suggestions, the car is for the wifey, not me. So no modding, hell I don't mod either, but still.

What's this new Rover - is it an actual version of a Range Rover or a Land Rover?

So far, my favorite is the RR Sport, my mom has one and loves it, no problems.

SUVs are so boring to me, I would get us the Mercedes G in a hearbeat if I was allowed to, lol.

Definitely want an SUV SUV, not a half-looking deal. She has a RX 350 now, and I'm so sick of it. It's been a GREAT car, but literally 1 out of 10 people here have one. I tend to like the more boxy feel for SUVs.

The BMW is high on the list, but just boring - it's been around for so long without (IMO) drastic updates.

I don't think the Porsche will be "plush" enough...

I like the Audi a lot, but she had a tt in the past and wants a make she's never had before.

I hate Acuras. I don't know why. I hate SAABs too. They bother me.

Damn, I guess there's no pleasing me, lol.

I like the RR S.

I also have a 4runner. It's dead reliable and build quality is excellent. It has a live axle rear though so not the most luxurious ride. I hate the new models, they look too chunky.

You need to specify what you want out of it

ex. off road capability

I won't recommend an X5

ex. it won't see anything nasty

I won't recommend an X5...

Hahah, you get what I'm saying.

Since you listed everything else you don't like it's between the Volkswagen Touareg and RangeRover Sport.

I dont know why she would consider the Touareg when she thinks the Cayenne isnt one for her.

The Evoque should be out later this year, and around the same price range as a X3 or Q5. There are a few pictures and a press announcement ceremony that had Victoria Beckham attend and serve some fashion function.

There is also a Ford SUV in europe right now that look pretty interesting called the Kuga. And while there have been rumors of it coming to the states there is also a new car coming in the lineup to replace the current Ford Escape this year. So my guess is that the mimic Kuga may be it.

The Kuga looks pretty cool, but if they cheapen it when they bring it over then it won't really be worth it. Ford has done decent lately though. The Evoque also looks very good.

RR: Evoque

Ford Kuga

Would you mind posting some pics?

So, is it the sorta-kinda equivalent of the X3 to the X5?

Thanks
