Extended DCT Paddles..Help

Alright I got them installed w/o breaking anything, which I'm happy about since the clips where a pain to get out. The down shifts work perfect along the entire paddle, but the up shifts aren't so good. I can only get the car to up shift when I pull back on the upper part of the paddle, but not the top top part. Only when I pull inline with the ball bearing "arm".

Anyone else have a issue like this?

I took the right side apart again and it's together correct and the ball bearing is in there. When I pull the lever it feels right, no binding etc and feel positive.

I tried adding a shim between the wheel and shifter trying to get more travel, but that didn't work.

Any other ideas?

That's strange. I installed the Verstraβe paddles without a hitch.

My first thought was that the re-install must have missed a part, but you say you double checked.

Best of luck!

I'd suggest removing and reinstalling just to tripple check and make sure something wasn't half-way put back

I'll triple check I guess, but even the brass pin clicked into place and it feels the same as the other paddle. Figures I'm the "one" to have this problem!

Any other help is great!!!

this happened to me. you bent the copper switch contacts inside the paddle. just open it back up and bend them up so they rub the metal contacts inside the roof of the housing.

Thank you for an easy answer!!! I'm off to the garage to tear it apart again, hopefully for the last time.

Let us know what the result is. I was thinking about purchasing these for my car.

Yup, that was it....I took my micro flat head and ever so gently bent both prongs upward some (1/16th of a inch max and made them both even). Now the paddles work perfect along the entire paddle. Thanks for the help again guys, this was driving me crazy.
