Full Front 3M for $895

I just got a quote from Calgary BMW for the full 3M front protection for $895. I already have one that came with my car but it has changed color and some part of the 3M protection are gone (didn't noticed it when I bought the car)

Wondering if it is a decent deal? And anywhere else anyone recoomand except BMW dealerships (in Calgary)?

the stock bumper costs $850 retail.
you're going to end up changing/ repairing the clear bra anyways.

Clear bras are definitely worth it. A little while ago I had a bolt hit my car. I posted the pics in this thread: http://www.m3post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=510650. It actually looked quite nasty, but after peeling back the clear bra, it turned out not to be too bad. There was only a very slight scratch of the clear coat, and I was able to get the dent out using paintless dent repair and a bit of Menzerna Power Finish, you can't see any damage. The clear bra on the hood saved me a complete paint job on my hood for which the cheapest quote I got was $1000.

A full clear bra job should cover the bumper, fenders, full hood and side mirrors. After a few years, odds are you'll need to replace more than the front bumper with all the chips etc., it'll pick up if it isn't a garage queen. And if you resell your car, you won't have to explain any repaint jobs or replacement parts.

Yes i remember the pictures you posted in your thread. So does it worth 895? How much did you pay for yours? Did you get BMW to install it for you?

I was quoted $580 in Halifax (not the dealership) for the same product installed.

I actually got mine installed by a specialist out here in the GTA. I had the full front bumper, fender, hood and side mirrors done, so I paid a bit more. What exactly are you getting for $895 - full front bumper and 24" hood + fenders? If so, that isn't too bad coming from a dealer. I'd look around and see if you can find a ventureshield specialist in your area.

So the 895 is for front bumper, mirror, and half of the hood and half of the small front corner panels

I would say that is a decent price coming from the dealer. I'd still recommend looking for a specialist, but if you can't find one this package is one of the better ones i've seen from a dealer.

Ask for Nuno at Shadow Tinting and tell them Manny sent you. Good guys, good work, and good pricing!

Not Alberta relevant, but my Ontario dealer quoted me $799. The tint and clear bra shop that I've used in the past quoted me $700, and dropped it to $650 along with the tint I had done at the same time, as a recurring client.

3M
- Bumper (full)
- Mirrors (full)
- Hood (partial)
- Fenders (partial)

I got a quote for a custom fit of the full hood and the headlights but I'm still considering if I'll extend to that or not.

Hey Manny, thanks for the info

So I got my CPO M3 from Calgary BMW and they hook me up with a great deal in my opinion. My SA called me (Ian, but I mostly dealt with Matt who is the manager) and offered me to get it done for $300 and $130 for polishing, cleaning, waxing. I think it is an amazing deal and I should take it right away, what do you guys think?

Hi WRXXX,
I'm in Ottawa, as is the shop (www.shadesone.com). I'm sure there are many options in the GTA and hopefully some of the GTA members will help you out shortly.

James

Highly recommend Marco@Advanced Mobile Group ..

He recently did my friend's 2011 E92 M3 complete car wrap, and he did a custom wrap on my molded Arkym bumper today. I will not look anywhere else, his attention to detail and workmanship is hard to match.
