Screw in my 295/25/20

Hey everyone,
So i was thrilled to see this guy in my tire the other day..

I have been told it's not repairable. (or is it?)

Question is.. i have about 80-85% tread on these rear tires (295/25/20 Mich PSS)
Am i ok just replacing the one or am i going to have to replace both?

Thanks in advance.

No, its not repairable (too close to the edge of the tyre) and you will be fine just replacing the one.

+1
What tyre pressure are you using? that tyre looks a bit scuffed up on the shoulder.

Thanks for the replies.

I had to bite the bullet and buy a new tire.. just a hard pill to swallow. It was one expensive screw. I wanted to eventually buy a taller series tire when they needed to be changed but not this soon..

As for pressure i assume they were 35ish all around as i never saw any tpms lights..

that's rough man. had an off road tire on my tundra that picked up a screw in the same spot.. since it's on the "shoulder" of the tire they say it reduces integrity. if you were to hit a pothole/debris at a good clip you may be more likely to have a blowout. it sucked but with kids the car, why risk it. probably a small chance it would happen but …. even when things are 1 in a million, there's always that one poor soul.

rest assured your moneys as well spent. road hazard isn't a bad option if you get a fair amount of life outta your tires.

one reason to get 18" wheels i guess.. cheaper tires!

back to enjoying the car, have fun!
