Houston M Club and TWS......Let's Ride

Ladies and gentleman the time has come for the Houston M Club to get back on "Track" (pun intended). So after the very accommodating management team of TWS contacted us, we are now ready to announce our first event at Texas World Speedway. See below for details---->

May 4th @ Texas World Speedway

Check in starts at 7:00am
Track goes hot at 8:00am
This is a full day event

Since our first event is in conjunction with the PDS, we have set a limit of 25 drivers. With this limit we have decided to only run intermediate and advanced driver groups. All future events will use our normal format. And, since we don't want to interfere with the PDS registration or pricing, I will not post the price and this registration is only open to M Club members. You should have received a email with the information but if you didn't you can contact me. We will take registration on a first come first serve basis. The registration will close on April 20th or when we reach the 25 driver limit. Once you contact me or express interest via this thread, I'll send you the registration and paypal information.

So some may be asking, what about our novice and beginner groups. Here's the answer........you can register via the TWS site. Once you register you'll be given a PDS instructor for the day. This was the safest way to start our relationship with TWS.

We are currently trying to secure 2 more events at TWS. As soon as they are booked, I'll let everyone know. And before I go, let me give a BIG thanks to team TWS for their professionalism and willingness to get us back in the action......................Phil

Simon, I recommend since you're still learning to register with PDS. Registration opens up next week on Clubregistration.net.

I honestly don't understand this unless M Club drivers are going to be part of the yellow and white groups.

Not pooping on anyone's parade but if you pay whatever to run 4 sessions with M Club...why not pay just a little more (if you are solo q'd) and run 8 sessions per day with PDS?

Blue solo and up get to run 8x per day. So for $295 to drive sat and sun you can drive up to 16 sessions.

So you can calm down and rest your unsolicited opinion, the M Club drivers will run with the PDS groups. I won't go into explaining why we chose to do this our first trip to TWS, but this will lay the ground work for things to come........Phil

My opinion was obviously solicited since I came up with this excellent idea first...

To be honest...if I were MSRH management, why would I throw away a 1/2 day of a prime time slot? Basically the 1/2 day format forces the track to do that. If I were MSRH management...I would much rather rent it out for a full day. Yes, I would guess that money is a part of it?

Maybe change M club days to a full day? Or TWS?

Which group is TWS putting you guys out with? I am in Yellow so most likely will see you on the track.

Does TWS have on-site facilities to get tires mounted/balanced during the day Sat or Sun for this event? My current tires will not make it 2 days with 2 drivers in different groups. I will bring a new set in the truck to mount when the existing set is toast.

You can contact BCS Tires in College station and make arrangements. They advertise track side service but I have not used them.

Thanks. I called and confirmed that they will be there that weekend. $20/tire to mount and balance. I am all set. I am breaking down and taking R6's off to make Phil happy.
