Toyota borrowed this transmission from Lexus not the other way around. We've already established the engine isn't shared with Toyota if you read the rest of the thread. And the chassis was also borrowed from Lexus.
Still does not change from the fact that the engines belong to the same family and the Chassis and Transmission are used on Toyota's. You wrote "My IS-F is not a Toyota, it shares nothing with those", a point which you now conveniently ignore and instead focus on who implemented the technology first.

Seriously, why do you bother if you cannot win this argument? I could show you any number of things that your car (if you actually own an IS-F) borrows from a Corolla if you continue to respond in this futile fashion.

My statement more clearly was that it's not a Toyota as it doesn't borrow from Toyota which is true. The fact that Toyota has borrowed from Lexus doesn't make my IS F a Toyota.

Are you going to make the same argument with Mini/BMW/Rolls?
Or how about VW/Audi/Bugatti?

And to start questioning what I own is childish and shows your lack of being able to intelligently discuss cars without being the stereotypical fanboy. My handle is the same on all the forums and I have posted pics of all my vehicles. I could care less about what badge is on the hood and made my decisions on what was best suited to what I needed and wanted.

The sticking pedals & screwed up brakes (Prius HS250H) are the result of cheaply made cars.. I have two Toyota products now (Rav4 & Gs400) & will never buy another.

BMW's source some of their transmissions from GM.

GM 6L45 & GM 4L30-E transmissions

So those of you driving 128i & 328i's have GM transmissions.
