Iphone 3GS sync error after DCT update?
I took my M in last week to get the DCT update performed. When I got it back, the DCT was great, but I did notice that the computer appeared to be partially reset. All of my radio presets were gone, as was the seat memory and navigation addresses.
It took me until yesterday to notice that my iphone is now trying to sync its contact list with the idrive, but not suceeding. Previously, this worked perfectly. I deleted the iphone from the BMW bluetooth menu and re-paired the two hoping this would solve the problem. It did not. Anyone have any ideas? Also - this is just a minor PITA, but worth mentioning. When selecting the auto level on airconditioning, previously there were 3 bars, with either 1, 2, or 3 being lit depending on the level selected. Since the update, only 1 bar lights up, but the position changes. In bright sunlight, it is very difficult to see which position this bar is in. Did anyone else have this happen, or is something screwed up? TIA |

I haven't got DCT but I do have an iPhone (1st gen w/ updated 3.0 OS) & the Contacts do not sync - did not in ED in June and not now that I picked it up this week.
Don't know if it's the same issue ... but is PITA!

I never posted an update to this... about two days later, I hooked up the phone to my computer and was told there was a software update. I installed it and it crashed the phone. Had to restore the phone, but when I did it started syncing again, so it looks like the phone was the one causing the problems.
I dont know if it will help you out or not, but try restoring your phone (this is a major PITA, but if it works I think its worth it). |
