USB / AUX

I have production date April of 08 and i was curious if i get this part (see below) #2 part only is it just a plug and play? for some reason i only have the AUX but not the USB. hope someone can advise on what i need or i can just buy the USB part to make it work.

Your BMW dealer should have a kit, pretty expensive I might add, to hook up your ipod to the car. I haven't seen the kit prior to them installing it but I think that it comes with that #2 unit in the illustration.

damn wish someone can give a part number for just that part.

wish someone can confirm if it just a quick install, i might be able to get the part without any other stuff included. I belive that my 08 production are pre-wired.

I too am trying to figure out how to add the USB drive for my 08 m92 m3.. Let me know if you have any luck..

Guys... please search. This has been discussed too many times before: there is only an Euro OEM USB retrofit available and it costs over $1000, requires coding and the install is much more complicated than just plugging in the USB port in the AUX hole.
