Watch out for thieves in SFV

Someone tried to steal the RPI exhaust off my car in the parking lot of my office, in SFV.

Yesterday I heard all of this clanging sound and the exhaust was a lot louder on the right side. I thought it was a broken pipe around the O2 sensor area. We put it on a lift and discovered the truth - bolts were loosened on both sides of the axle back and one of the hangers was bent from where someone tried to push the exhaust free.

Keep an eye out for thieves and be careful where you park I guess. I work in Sylmar but I always thought our parking lot was pretty safe. Guess not!

Telling people to watch out for thieves in SFV is like telling fish to watch out for water in the ocean! I keed, I keed!

True enough, but it seems to be getting worse. Going for an exhaust on a car in a patrolled parking lot is pretty ballsy.

Yeah, that's pretty low. Is the exhaust repairable?

Yeah no problem, it was just loose bolts and a slightly bent hanger.

Just keep your eyes on your cars, I guess.

Sorry to hear this BS.

WHy the hell would they want such an exhaust unless they had the same car... which is a really crappy thing to do to another M owner.

Probably figured it was a nice exhaust on an expensive car so they could probably get a few bucks for it, that or sell the metal for scrap. I’ve got a sneaky feeling the person does not own nor know anybody that owns an M let alone a car made post 1989.

Wow that sucks. I remember I had a friend that lived in Valencia. Overnight someone jacked her lip kit.

Do you have a car alarm?

This is like the shit I dealt with in high school with my supped up Integra. Can out one day for lunch, and my clear blinkers were gone, and they used a hacksaw to try to cut trough my bumper to get my PIAA fogs off, took all my CF emblems.

Bastards.
