New 135i. Car & Driver Cover!

If your glasses are steamed from desire or anger...let me tell you the article says it'll cost 35K, be released in Spring 2008', and do 0-60 in 4.5 seconds

While the 1 series seems like a good idea, I would think the hatchback would sell a lot better considering how small that car is going to be. Nobody wants a poor man's 3 series coupe. Why wouldnt you buy a 3 series if could. There needs to be something distinguishing about other than its a little bit smaller than a 3 series with the same engine. It's like making a 4 series that is between a 3 and 5 series sedan size, but with the same engine offerings. Just seems silly to not offer it as a hatchback if they are really gunnin for the GTI crowd.

Blah... this is one of the reasons I have been holding off on buying a 335i. Dang you for bringing it up!

I like the price tag of the 128i. I hope that it will lure buyers away from other brands. The only car on that list of competitors that Id even consider buying is the A3.

I like this car but I just can't see many people buying this over the 3 series for the price. it looks a bit...dinky...and i'm not sure mainstream americans are gonna like that.
