What are your plans for the Summer and your ///M3
I'm wondering if there are similar "Great Travel Routes" out east in the United States as can be found on the California site I've found below.
Check out the site here ===> Click here to open California Routes Perhaps you already planned a road trip for this or next year ... why not share with the rest of us your "Google Map" My plans are to make 2 trips this year one to Boston via Montreal and return via NYC. Another is planned to California, I like to attend this years Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance. I will not drive all the way, plans are to rent a car in LA. What are your plans? They don't have to be necessarily for this year ... perhaps next year ... or some upcoming anniversary road trip? Let's just share the fine road trips of the USA and Canada yes let us not forget some of the nice spots up here Wherever you go ... drive safely and "Happy Motoring!"

One of the nice trips up here in Canada would be from Banff, Alberta to Jasper, Alberta.
If you are coming from the US (not driving your ///M3) then fly into Calgary and head west to Banff, Alberta ... Lake Louise then take that highway to Jasper, Alberta. Great country great sneery ... I guarantee it, I've lived in that part of the world.

Some local drives around town, and the big trip to Laguna seca for Oktoberfest. I have always dreamed of driving that track and I cant wait. Drives to Monterrey and back will be filled with great sections of road also.

To this day , my favorite road trip ever was California in and out .
But a close second back east is the Cabot trail in nova scotia , from Montreal through New-Brunswick is good stuff and the trail itself is one of the prettiest places I have seen anywhere, from Europe to central America To western Canada/USA.

Boston is a great city Rolf, enjoy. And be sure to take Hwy 1 when you go to California.
-------------------------------------------------- We will be doing the Tail in June. Had to plan ahead as (good) hotel rooms get booked up many months ahead. Will also do the Blue Ridge Parkway as part of the same trip. Some great, recent threads on the front page of Bimmerpost on these roads. Such as: Link: http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showthread.php?t=826140 Or this one: Link: http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showthread.php?t=811098 ------------------------- Then, in the fall, Highway 1 in California (Los Angeles to San Francisco) and 3 islands is Hawaii. Highway 1: http://travel.nationalgeographic.com...ast-road-trip/ Hawaii:

Dragon
To all those going to or considering a trip to the Dragon, food for thought.
It’s an awesome road and everyone knows it... and I mean everyone. So it tends to get busy to the point of rush hour traffic. So mid-week in off season is a good thought. Check out events that clubs, both bike and cars will be running there, as those weekends are typically a disaster for congestion. Because of the motorcycle shenanigans that have gone on there in the last decade the road is crawling with LEO's. They will clip you for going 5 over the obscenely slow speed limit every time... there is a zero tolerance policy. It is also a road you want to be very careful on for oncoming traffic. Many bikes overcook corners regularly and lowsiding to your lane is not uncommon. Occasionally an lost large or long truck ends up on the road and this can be a disaster. I have done it many time in cars and on my motorcycle and it is fantastic on a great day when it is not busy.
