Alignment printout?

Does anyone with stock suspension have their alignment printout?


Specifically someone who is running negative camber

Thanks but I'm actually looking more for one that isn't stock alignment specs (hence the negative camber part)

This may be one of my failed attempts at trying to do something and ending up messing things up..but thought I'd give it a try

e93 preferred, but prly won't get that, so e92?

or are all e9X the same?

I have pulled the front alignment pins for more negative camber:

Front left -1.75, 1/32
Front right -1.4, 1/16
Rear left -1.57, 1/16
Rear right -1.31, 1/16

I am running an E90 M3 with stock 18's and will most likely keep the same setup when I put the track 18's on. Do you want ALL the specs, SAI, caster, ect?

You can. Tell them to "bury" the camber

MAX front and rear, pull the pins.

On a stock, mostly street driven car with occasional track use, I would do:

Front:
Max camber
Neutral toe

Rear:
-1.6 deg
1-2 mm toe

excuse my ignorance.... what do you mean by neutral toe?

When you say front Max Camber, that would be -1.2 correct? (without pulling out the pins)


My friend with a stock ZCP e90 M3got an alignment recently, he got:
Left Front: Right Front:
-1 camber -0.9 Camber
6.9 Caster 7.0 Caster
.05 Toe .05 Toe

Left Rear: Right Rear:
-2.2 Camber -2.2 Camber
.11 Toe .10 Toe


I'm thinking of either taking the car to West End Alignment ($120 I think?)

Or having my family friend do it ($60, he's been doing alignment for as long as I'm alive pretty much, but street cars, not track spec cars But if I give him the correct printout, I don't see why he can't mimic it)

Or going to BMW (their retail is $330, but I can get it for $150 as a special cause I just referred a bunch of people there). The tech said their alignment includes: "weighting the car to the proper ride height for exact angles while vehicle is in motion."

I would like to go to my family friend because:
A) He's 1 minute from my office (west end is a good 45 minutes)
B) cheaper
C) if it's wrong, I can go back for adjustment next day or something for free.

I'd like to go with West End because:
A) Great forum rep
B) lots of reviews

I'd like to go with BMW because:
A) well it's BMW so I'm assuming they'll warranty it if the alignment is off...
B) I can get it done at the same time I'm getting other stuff done, so it's the most convenient option
C) the whole "exact angles while in motion" is the first I've heard and it seems pretty..legit..?

Neutral toe is zero.

Maximum negative camber varies on the vehicle, the specs my shop pulled for an M3 were -1.95 to -1.55 in the rear. But when the tech maxed it out, he could only accomplish -1.31. So if your looking to max it out, your better off saying that vs requesting a specific number.

Are you just trying to get the car to handle better?

This as well as being able to clear AD08 tires (265/30/19 295/30/19)

I don't want to rub, even if I daily drive with 4 people, top open, around crappy LA roads and freeways...

So does it matter which alignment shop I go to then? (from the 3 I listed)

I just remembered I got an alignment in May after I hit a pothole (it put a bubble in my tire so I knew it must have knocked something out of alignment, I hit it pretty hard..)

If I read it right.... I already have -1 Camber in the front? and -1.7 in the rear

Isn't that what is pretty much being recommended anyways....? Now I'm really confused

Your sheet is a bit confusing to read for me compared to others I've seen

Everyone is telling me to pull the pins out... what is a negative attribute of doing this? I'm a lease so I can't imagine putting them back in
Also, how do you take them out...?

I just had it done. I had a bit of trouble getting it done but finally the owner of SW Alignment in Houston knew how. I'm taking it to the track tomorrow
