Premium Fuel- "7 Eleven" $4.27 VS $4.69 "BP" ?
It is the same grade of gasoline Premium-Ultimate-Super Excellent, whatever... it is 93 octane that's all should matter?
I've always been getting Sunoco, but lately got hooked on "7 ELEVEN" lower priced Premium... I do not notice any difference in driving performance in my E92 M3. However, when I used to fill up my 335i, I would definitely notice the difference in Engine Throttle Response depending on brand of gasoline... Any thoughts on this? Oh, thank heaven! 7 ELEVEN

First, think - "top name brand" vs "brand X".
Second, consider that all gasoline comes out of the same tank at the distributor level regardless of who's selling it. The difference lies in the additive package that is mixed into the tanker truck before it arrives at your local gas station. In the long run, you are probably better off with the tier one branded gasolines as they provide better protection to your engine through their superior additive package. |

7-Eleven... can't bring myself to put their gas in. Won't even go near ARCO.

Shell and Chevron have cleaners in then that will help keep the injectors clean. No difference in the short run. Big difference in the long run. Or you can just dump in some Techron injector cleaner from time to time. At that point, it's just about octane.
Don't buy gas when the tanker truck is there. It stirs up deposits that don't get along well with your M3's fuel filter. Or any other fuel filter for that matter.

I honestly don't get it, you guys spend more than $70K on your car and worried about few cents for gas? You save how much, like $2-$3 everytime? I prefer to use the best gas for my car all the time, no matter how much it is. In Calgary, Canada, I only use Shell, even if I have to drive an extra 10 km more to get to their gas station.

I constantly fill up at Esso. I'm pretty sure they are one of the best, are they not?

I have used the crappy 91 on military installations and unfortunately, it is terrible but tax free.. Fuel economy and performance are terrible compared to Shell, Chevron, and 76 fuels..

I think there's also a difference in the prices you posted due to location. The 7-11 gas station is in Brooklyn right next to the police station on 3rd ave entrance ramp to BQE (I used to live in that area and pump at that station for my hooptie but never the M). The BP gas price looks like its in Manhattan. Gas in Manhattan is always more expensive.
