South FL - Exhaust meet up
Hey guys, I've narrowed down (via the Internet/youtube) my choices for exhaust systems. I'm stuck between AA and Akra slip-on. I was wondering if there was anyone in the Miami/Broward area that would be interested in possibly meeting up so I could listen in person to each system. It would be greatly appreciated . Thanks.

I probably will, but would still like to hear an Akra exhaust. Also, AA is WAYYY out there...I'm sure you know, since you live in Miami too and have an AA exhaust.

I am dying to hear that setup, what do you think of it versus the AA?

Also the akra titanium tips are much better looking than the AA tips but then you get what you pay, the akra evo is much more expensive than the AA

I'm in Doral and I have a full catless AA exhaust, one of the best sounding exhausts out there hands down, best part, no drone, windows up A/C on and its quiet until you get on it. AA really knows what they're doing.

I'd offer to meet but, had an off road incident and my car is in the shop for a bit. Active is only 7 miles from my house and I won't go anywhere else for mods for my car. Karl and Mike are the best and everyone there is awesome!

The Akra is very civilized at low rpms, but gets louder at WOT. At WOT and higher rpms, I thought ours both sounded the same. Edu09's is a full system though, I have not heard just an Akra axel back. |

I have the Active rear section paired with the challenge street x pipes. I think it sounds great, and doesn't seem too intrusive to me even as a dd. maybe I'm just used to it since I had a louder exhaust setup on my Z for a while.
Perhaps we should organize another meet. Then you can hear a bunch of variations back to back.

Agree with the above comments, it is all about taste, some will like the AA sound, others will like the Akra, what I can assure you is that each system has its own particular tone

Thanks for all the responses. Nice to see so many So Fla people on here. From the videos I've seen, I was actually drawn to the lower-RPM sound of the AA exhaust. I'll have to get around eventually I guess to going out to AA. If another meet is ever organized, then maybe I can find an Akra system there.
