Arta NXS, now the fastest time-attack car

The all mightly ct230R (HKS EVO) is no longer the fastest time-attack car... incredible..

Ran a 51.875 at Tsukuba.... the hks ct320r ran a 53.589.. WTF A FULL 2 Seconds..... how the hell is this even possible... OMFG

its possible b/c the ARTA NSX is a full-out Super GT (JGTC) race car, whereas the Evo is a street car modified for Time Attack. throw other Super GT cars (or even GT cars from the ALMS or Rolex series) and i guarantee you you'd see several times that eclipse that of the HKS Evo.

again though, as fast as the HKS Evo may be, it is still just a street car stripped out and prepped for Time Attack. it may not be on stock suspension parts, but i guarantee you its suspension geometry hasn't been significantly altered or changed from stock like the NSX's has. the NSX (and other Super GT cars) may be very similar to their road going counterparts due to the homolgation rules of the seires they race in, but they're far more modified from stock than the HKS Evo is (they are for the most part lighter and better balanced).


...as far as 'im concerned, the HKS Evo IS still the fastest Time Attack car because it was not beaten by another time attack car - it was beaten by a race car...there's a huge difference.

HKS actually did alter the body of the EVO, the only way you can tell its an EVO is from the front bumper/ lights, the engine was even shifted so the weight ratio would be near to perfect, HKS built the best car you could possibly build, I say built because they even custom built the engine, everything was changed.. oh god, only if I had a list of things that were changed... I'm not sure, but I think they might have even drilled holes in the frame to reduce unnecessary weight.. But yes, I do agree the Arta NSX is a different class than the Evo, only in the term that they have never used the EVO for any other purpose than Time-attack, hell I don't even think they could race it on the track even if they tried, who knows how many regulations they are breaking Cheers to you, love talking to people who know what they are talking about , I know it may sound obscured, but believe it or not, a lot of people don't have a clue when it comes to technical discussions now-a-days..

Straight cut gears are something I don't think I could ever learn to appreciate if I had to drive such a car. Maybe with a good set of earplugs.
