The daily driver gets some love

My M3 is in the shop getting a VF540 installed, so the spot in the garage was free to do a proper detail on my 2012 Plug-In Prius. I love this car almost as much as the M3, it gets me to work so much faster thanks to the HOV stickers. Wash/Clay/Wash/Polish/Wax was the order of the day:

Looks good but I would give you a really weird face if you told me in person this car brings you as much pleasure as an m3

In some ways, it gives me more pleasure than the M3 because it saves me 3-4 hours a week of sitting in stop and go traffic, and that time is worth a lot to me.

i totally can relate.

he's not comparing the two on the same level....there's no doubt that owning/driving and M3 is an exhilarating experience. but cars offer other types of transportation.

such as suiting your needs for efficiency and practicality. there's nothing wrong with appreciating a design that does that so well.

my DD is a chevy volt....and out of the 17 cars i've ever owned, it's in my top three. i love that damn car as much as my M3 or my Porsche 997 4S.

Do you love the car, or the HOV lane?

If you like the HOV lane that much, I'd recommend getting a Tesla which would compliment your M3 much better.

Probably the shiniest Prius out there as most of them get destroyed by their environmentally friendly owners 10 mins after they leave the lot.

I was not expecting to see a pic of that thing when I clicked on your thread.

Nice work though.

A prius giving joy? I would rather smash my junk with a brink and drag myself across a 100 yards of broken glass than ride in a prius. It isn't even worth capitalizing its name. Great job on the detail though.

Nice to see someone taking care of car that stature. I see too many of those cars neglected. To me it wouldn't matter if it was a Bugatti or a Prius I would care for it just like you did with yours.

Not to thread jack but...

I am a bit concerned on your SC choice though. Depending on where you live you may have a horrible time getting OBD readiness for inspection sticker. In addition, pay close attention to your AFR, IAT and the fault codes you will most likely be getting.

There are some issues with the software, which has yet to be discussed by VF nor did they ever clarify that their car passes OBD readiness, which when I bought mine was told by their sales and technical department.

Just be cautious OP and I hope it works out for you. The kits are impossible to resell as I still have mine.

I'll happily race you up Highway 85 at 8:00am on a Tuesday. Most days, I'll win by 30 minutes or more.
