Please be more specific, do you mean coils as in springs or coils as in coil overs?

coils as in coilovers! arent these R&D coilovers a fully bolt on system? or are they just dampers and we gotta buy springs, camber plates, and all that separately??

I think it's clearly stated in the OP - you get what's shown in the pics and described in the OP which is essentially a complete suspension...four dampers, two F springs, two R springs, 2 rear spring height adjusters. The only things you don't get are the upper F and R damper mounts and bushings - reuse stock parts...makes it a complete "bolt on" setup. However, it sounds like Harold also offers a race spring and camber plate setup.

Harold - do you offer a non-stock option for the R damper upper bushings/mounts?

I hope they finally release this kit at the beginning of '13!

I have updated with the thread with product photos. Please have a look at the OP for what is in the kit.

These are photos taken at the SEMA show with an iPhone.

Why are these so late to the e9x game? Just in time for me, personally, but seems odd.

Are yellow coils the only option?

All R&T kits come with yellow springs but HPA offers a Swift spring option as well as camber plates

Very nice looking kit. And perfect time for me too. How does these compare to AST 5100 with same spring rates (500/800)lbf/in and camber? AST with swift spring is a little cheaper than ohlins with camber plates and swift spring kits. Also will DFV technology set this a level higher from other kits?

Quality wise, the Ohlins R&T will be higher than the AST 5100. Both are inverted fronts, but the Ohlins has the DFV, where you will only find AST 5150(not yet released) with similar technology.

Ohlins will both ride better on the street and perform better on the track than the AST 5100. AST will be better positioned to compete with the release of the 5150 series.

How difficult is it to set the Ohlins up without camber plates. Is it much more harder to align?

Reading about many guys with noises once setup with plates and I'm not looking to necessarily run more than -1.8 to -2.0 at most which I'm assuming is possible once the car is lowered.

You don't have to run camber plates on a street car, especially you are not looking for more than -2 of camber. For the E9x M3 you are looking at very close to -2 of camber once lowered about 1". Alignment would be without any front camber adjustments so it's actually easier.

PM, email or call us if you have further questions.
