Introduction.

Ok so I've been browsing this forum for sometime now, I've finally made the leap and bought my first M3.
Have only had it a week now and I have to say.... why did I wait so long?!?! Can't wait to personalize it a little.

Norms, welcome aboard, car looks like a gem! Year, mileage and some specs? (looks like ZCP and individual stereo as a good start)

Haha, when I first bought the car I thought there was some issue with the way she consumed. You get used to it thought...

Well I'm sure me having to keep the RPMs up and throwing downshift blips around like a teenager didn't help my cause any!

Once the "newness" wears off... if it ever does! I'll drive it a little less aggressively, but I dunno? It just seems to ask for more every time I hit the throttle. It's going to be hard to park it tonight and drive the 325 back and forth to work. If only I could add an "M" button to the old convertible! LOL

It never gets old. My favorite thread is the guy on vacation in Florida staying in a beautiful hotel on the beach. And he basically asks the question "am I a terrible person for thinking about my car at home while my wife and kid are here etc...". It gets in your blood. I know Helmsman remembers that one from last summer.

Welcome to the forum! It's a wonderful, wonderful car. I've managed to collect two and sometimes think of a third. Ok, all the time, all I do is think of a third M3 V8

Thanks for the Greetings guys!

Its been a great first couple of weeks of ownership. I have found so many reasons I need to leave the house this past week....lol and even after just running to Kroger I somehow seem to have forgotten a thing or two and need to go right back out again! I have managed to find every possible route to take to get there tho. Thank God kroger has the gas station attached!
I will say this Jerez Black is a SOB to keep clean, I have hosed her off at least half a dozen times in the past few days. I cant wait for pollen season to be over!

Is anyone else from the central Virginia area?

Haven't even learned all the car can do yet and I'm already browsing the Mod options like a kid looking at the Christmas sales fliers! So many options.... I love it

do some research on the car, that dct can do some things you wouldn't know about unless someone told you or you read the manual thoroughly. For example, you can get to S6 shift mode if you fully take off traction control. Also, if you have it in S5 and floor it on the highway in 7th gear, then hit the downshift paddle, it'll automatically drop it to the correct gear for that speed.
