Has anyone had the clutch replaced yet?

Im curious to see if the clutch will need replacing before 50,000 miles. I rather get it for free under BMW's maintenance program before it runs out before 2012.

Anyone had theirs replaced yet?

not for me yet. But I would do it before my service plan expired. otherwise, it would be expensive ><

Great question. I don't believe it is.

But the better question is if any 6MT owners have reached 50K miles yet . I personally hope it lasts more than that without any abuse .

The clutch is a normal wear and tear part. You will have to pay to have this done on the car. The only way that BWM will warrat the clutch is if the clutch was damaged due to some othe part or was damaged prematurely.

After owning 5 bmw's I can definitely say "no"
Although it has a lot to do with your driving, on average 50k is no problem.

I'm on original with 87k miles and still running fine. BMW clutches are very solid as long as not abused.

This may sound weird but mine was done at only 30k miles lol. It was done for free as they thought something was not right about it. I honestly couldn't tell the difference aside from now it catches with more authority. I hate the play though still the same.
