So after a week of driving my car with the sc kit here are my impressions: The car is in a whole different league. It dynoed at 450whp with only 5lbs of boost on a dyno dynamics. The Intake manifold even after several hours of hard driving stayed very cool. My vehicle temp when really pushing my car only rises to about 215 degrees. Cold start ups in the morning are as if my car was still stock, just with a whine under the hood :-) Ive made some comparo runs and I can tell u right now this is one of the strongest kits out there.

Unless ESS is not telling the truth, they will have a supercharger setup for under $15k.

Whats the difference with the supercharger ESS is using and Gintani or is it the same (Vortech V3 is whats posted on ESS)? Which is known for more reliability etc...?

Well none of the prices for any company is set is in stone. All the companies can change their pricing upon releasing their sc kits. None of theese companies have released their kits. Also note that my car is still gonna have higher numbers when completely finished and my car will only be stage 1. The stg. 2 will consist of lowering comprension ratio along with some other items to make sure the engine is safe, not just changing the pulley for more boost like most companies do. Be prepared to see Alexs car (the owner) with their custom stage 3, which will be a fully built FI engine. I guess all companies will price accordingly, Gintanis kit uses a full in house c&c machined intake manifold along with a water to air cooler all flow tested.

The insinde runners of the manifold are beautiful. They also have about 8,000+ miles on their sc prototype kit. More than half of these miles were put on with hard driving all along the mulholland canyons. They have done several hours of dynoing, just to make sure the hp numbers were staying consistant, temps were good, air fuel ratios were good etc. The car has been basically beat for most of these miles just to see how reliable it will be and has not had any big issues. I have been their for most of the testing and have witnessed every page of the sc kit. Call me bias but Its a different story when a company lets u see the whole r&r of their sc kit along with the ups and downs. They are also local for me, I dont wanna have a kit where anytime I face a problem I have to mail my dme etc. I think this kit is worth every penny.

Well I think each company just uses what they feel will work best with their system. I know the blower Gintani uses has a oil line thru it and some blowers are just self contained.

I had a 996 GT3. The M3 is fast, but please...it aint a GT3, esp. not a 997 GT3 RS (may be my next ride?).

How does Gintani plan to reduce the compression ratio for stage-2? I'm not a fan of thicker head gaskets or spacer because they change the valve timing; and stage-3 sounds like a bottom-end rebuild. So I'm wondering how they're planning to do it.

I think they're thinking about doing a blog about Alexs project stage 3 as it goes along. If they end up posting it on their website Ill make sure to link it here. Lets just say they're all business at Gintani and the stock e92 M3 block has already been taken apart.

We will see about this soon...in Mexico. lol However even if the M3 is faster in a straight line, it will never be a GT3 RS, I love those cars.

Stock for stock no chance, however based on many comparo's, and runs against other cars that have ran GT3's, I'd say it might be a good run with a full bolt on DCT M3.

FYI never did I say the M3 is better or worse than a GT3, lol.
