Definitely prefer Eisenmann Race, it's hands-down the #1 exhaust for 335i.

Race is awesome, drone can ruin it sometimes.

I'm in the same boat. Listening to sound clips, I think I like the Race version a little more on high revs but I can't tell if it would be too loud for my DD.

Race is loud and drones, but it sounds soooo good! I was tired of the loudness and took mine off and even posted it for sale, but now I'm thinking of putting it back on this weekend, stock is way too quiet, and it's a tough act to follow.

The loudest range is between 2-3k, very deep down there, then above 3k the exhaust characteristics change into a more exotic tone, but not too loud to let you enjoy the engine noise.

If you can cruise above 3k rpm it's actually just fine. This is around 80mph with DCT so might be ok for you.

I have had the race for many years on my Z8. The car is certainly not a dd but when I do drive it, the top is down. I love the sound and have always felt its aggressive w/o being overbearing, even top down.
That said, the Z8 is a different motor so maybe it sounds different on my M3....anyway, I love mine.

I had a sport version on my E46M3, perfect for daily drive, no drone at all.
Want it to be a little bit louder, so went with race version on my e92, definitely blow me away when I step on the throttle, sounds soooo good, drones a little bit, but I can totally live with that.
Here's a video I take:

Watch in HD.
