Its really personal preference.
esthetics like grills, colour matched reflectors, tinted windows
are necessary IMO. Then there is a drop, wheels exhaust etc.

And bigger mods like ESS.

Supercharger, bored+stroked engine, coilover suspension, fully catless exhaust, lightweight rims with wide tires, recaro seats, tune (if not s/c), front lip, rear diffuser, color matched reflectors, angel eyes, painted grills/gills, roll cage, rear seat delete, wing/spoiler, yeah that about sums it up.

^ So basically a super-charged M3 GTS... the most expensive and laborious way possible.

Sounds like an amazing spec list.

Tint, grills, gills. Then air intake, pulley, tune, Then cat-back w x pipe. It took me almost a year to do that. Then i still wanted more and did carbon spoiler and splitters. Take your time and research your parts carefully. Be prepared to spend some dollars. You get what you pay for. If you need any advice you can PM me. Good luck.

It is always nice to hear that great v8 sound, Exhaust would be my first change. Depending on available cash flow.. I like to start with what bothers me the most, whether that is performance or aesthetics. Most of the M wheels look ok to start with, the biggest failure of the car in my opinion is the brakes. Obviously they are one of the more expensive mods you can make (other than stroker engine or boost) but why make a car go fast and look fast but not stop fast.

Whats wrong with the brakes???? I cruise at 150 mph on the autobahn and had to slam the brakes... with no issues I thought the brakes were one of the better things on the car.... am I wrong? I do not track my car if that makes a difference

E9x M3 has very good street brakes. In part due to the weight of the car, for many drivers they're not up to the task of multiple laps on some tracks.

thank u all for the helpful replies. I think the first thing I will get since I just got my car is the exhaust. Which one do you think is the best when it comes to gaining HP and sound?
thanks again.

They fade on the track, but that can be improved greatly with just a change of pad material rather than needing to upgrade the whole rotor and caliper

Any thing that removes the cats will give you more power.

Sound depends on what you like.

I would have to say for me my favorite mod has been the zcp carbon spoiler. I really think that it makes a big difference and its not that expensive. But like others have said must mods are grills, gills, and reflectors.

Thanks again for all the help. You guys are great!!
I'm really looking for an exhaust that's going to give me the most HP and I don't mind the noise or the price.
After looking at several of them, I can't decide between the Fabspeed, eisenman, meisterschaft, RPI GTM or the Gintani..
What would you guys recommend me?

"supercharger; the car is too slow and just perfect afterward"

never heard those before

agreed... started off trying to personalize the looks a bit and then signed up for a track event and my focus completely changed.... in retrospectwould have gone completely performance oriented and then slowly add cosmetic to personalize...
