That is probably Jared (GEARHEAD on s2ki)...he is extremely fast.

Several S2k buddies are going out for the first time on the big boy track. I wanted to run with them, I'm sure I would technically be quick enough for the B group. Of course, they usually open up the afternoon for open lapping :-)

Sadly, I will be running the S without the supercharger at the track. My clutch started slipping and I am sort of at a cross roads with the S. Not sure if I want to keep it long term or move up to an Exige.

I am signed up for the Ridge May 17th. At least two other Portland peeps are going up also. I have only done one day at the Ridge. Ran a 1:58 first day second session stock brakes, stock suspension with camber plates. It will be another learning experience considering the new car and its been a year. Hopefully the GPS module will be in by then so I know my times.

Essentially I realized that to get better lap times I need to go faster.. Now why didn't I think of this before.. Duh right!? :-D

What's the fastest anyone has gone around the Ridge in a E9x M3?

Here's a rough (manually noted times) comparison of my lap with a 1:58 done by another M3..
Nice work out there.

My fastest lap time at the Ridge is a 1:56. I know of at least one 1:54 with a well setup E92 M3.

Here is a video from one of my runs this past Saturday with Turn2. It was such an great day out there. I think my best on Sat was a 1:58.

Nice driving Nicolas!
Three of us are coming up from Portland for the T2 day on 5/17. Should be good. Greg in his e46 race car, me in the E92 and another mate in his extremely prepped GT3 997.2. 70 degrees and clear please!
Anyone else?

I was with the crew last week at the Ridge. Had a blast on an absolutely perfect day. Looking forward to more events with you guys, but am going to be on the East Coast for my daughters college commencement. Kinda takes prior-ee-tay.

Did you all get the email from Tom today about the ORP event in early July? I am prob hitting that one. Anybody else?

The weather looks good for tomorrow at the Ridge. Lots of fast cars!

I will be getting a half day of private coaching from Eddie Nakato. If someone is interested he will be available for the afternoon. Last time out I dropped 2 -3 seconds. Look me up if you are interested.

Ridge

Had a good day at the Ridge Friday! Some dry weather and some rain that forced me into the pits (no windshield wipers + race slicks) The morning was spent getting aqainted with the track again and trying to correct some oversteer issues. (the car has new front and rear sway settings, new rear wing, new damper settings). We didn't get it dialed in but was able to have quite an epic battle with "nurburgring" where we were nose to tail for a good 15 min! Ultimately we both clocked in the 1:52 flat range with some traffic. I am not completely satisfied with that time but there is room for improvement. GoPro battery died before the battle.....

Always fun battling with you Greg. Actually, it's 'NRBRNG' and it was a 1:51.3 in the morning for me I think we were a terrifying sight for folks in that last session!

Can't wait for NASA on 6/1-2 at the Ridge. We should both aim for sub 1:50.

Cheers!
