Arkym Front lip spoiler - Single sided, Double sided differences
G'day guys,
My first post here. I have owned my E92 M3 since August last year and am now wanting to get a front lip spoiler. I've decided on the ARKYM Aerosport Lip spoiler but before I click that order button I'm wanting to know the difference between Single sided carbon fiber and double. May be a stupid question but its really got me stuck. Also what benefits there are in spending the extra $300 (give or take) on going the double sided. Any help would be appreciated.

Arkym is junk. PM me for details on how my $1000 lip lasted 100 miles before it self destructed. Total garbage and no such thing as customer service there. Its a poorly run company! Just speaking from experience.

i started out with arkym. never had it installed because I received the lip with a crack.. had it switched out for another one. same deal, received a broken lip. was issued a refund, but that was enough and i gave up on them..

Gives me a hand from ordering a dud.
As I live in Australia and most lips seem to be located in the US I don't really want to be ordering something that is cracked or won't fit right. I'll have to do more research.

Ive got the whole Arkym setup aeorsport Front lip, Aerosport rear diffuser Aerorace trunk, no problems what so ever with my Arkym stuff, In hawaii we have super bad roads, but all three of my parts from arkym are perfect, install was a breeze, fitment was pretty good, rear diffuser will sag after sometime, however thats jsut gravity taking over so i put double stick tape on it. Same thing with my front lip used double stick tape and it holds up to speed. The only other thing i did was put clear coat on it to ensure it doesnt turn yellow and keeps the shine. good luck man!

My Arkym lip was problem free and sturdy; I didn't even need double sided tape (..the bumper bolts were enough, and there was no flapping at speed). The damage that I did to it while driving would have damaged any other CF lip just the same. In my experience, the Arkym was well built.....
.....then I hit a tire on the freeway at 70-75 MPH and there went that. I'd buy Arkym again! Every manufacturer will have issues. Vorsteiner had big issues, especially with their trunks and hoods, but Vorsteiner still makes a good product. |
