Audi has just unveiled the 2008 R8 — its first ever production supercar. Sales will begin in the first half of 2007 for the United States and Europe. The car has a 414 horsepower high-revving V8 engine and all-wheel-drive. It uses the mid-engine Lamborghini Gallardo platform, and will sell for around $100,000 — positioning it squarely against the BMW M6 and Aston Martin Vantage. It features standard xenon headlamps surrounded by an LED cluster. Claimed 0 to 62 mph time is 4.6 seconds, though this number is likely conservative.

I don't have that kind of money, but if I did, I'd take it over an M6 on looks alone. It's gorgeous!

The same ol' 4.2 just touched up since 93! I was hoping for a new block with twin turbos!!

Other than that I think it looks brilliant.

does it have the same price of the M6???
for me im into the M6, i feel BMW are more proffessional in that part, and i really like the idea of the V10...

but the look of the R8 is awsome!!

M5 V10 or S6 V10.

The M5 has more HP and is faster on a straightaway, but what would you guys grab? I like the way the s6 looks.

Looks like a suped up TT to me (not really a bad thing)

I'm guessing the 2008 M3 will blow it out of the water for 30K less.
