The aspect is a ratio or percentage of the tire width. In an effort to keep the sidewall heights consistent front to back, you need to use a higher aspect ratio on the narrower tire and a lower ratio on the wider tire. You will notice that people use the same ratio front and rear when they choose tire widths that are only 20mm different (like OEM). 20mm + usually requires differing ratios.

So if I'm running 19x9 +18 front and 19x10 +25 back should I get 245/35/19 and 285/30/19 or 285/35/19
You can go 255/35/19 and 285/30/19

What's the advantage of wider front? Better handling I assume? Also would that rub if I decide to lower the car later?

With the right offset ( I went 19x10 et25) you can go wider on the front and not rub even when you are lowered... some people run 275 with up front on a square setup. I went with a wider rim up front because my wheel is concave and I just wanted more "depth" of the concave. I have H&R coilovers and no rub even at full lock on 265/30/19 Michelin PSS

Maybe someone who knows more can chime in on any performance aspects. I figured I would lose overall performance because its a heavier wheel and tire combo than I could have gone with, like I said mine was for looks

Based on this thread, it looks like the E90 m3 can fit slightly more aggressive offsets vs the E92..... right?

Help

I recently ordered this tire / wheel set up...

Car: 2009 E92M3

Wheels: HRE P43SC - (F) 19X9.5 +25, (R) 19X11+26

Spacers: (F) None, (R) None

New Offset: (F) +25, (R) +26

Tires: PSS (F) 265/19, (R) 295/19

Suspension: KWV3

Alignment: Stock

Fender Modifications: (F) None. (R) None

Rubbing?: These are the offsets HRE reccomeded when I told them I wanted aggressive offsets and no spacers! Will these most likely rub? I don't know if this matters but i do have a BBK and they specifically asked about it when I ordered.

I am looking to run a 19x10 wheel et25 up front and the same in the back square setup. However can anyone tell me If I can run a 265-35-19 tire front and a 275-35-19 rear or bump the sidewalls to 30 etc without rubbing on stock EDC suspension? I would like to run this setup but am not sure about rubbing or fitment issues going on and I have seen alot of this 19x10 square stuff with no exact answer/??

i think you would have to run 265-30 up front to not rub at least thats what i had and it was really close.

Shouldn't rub, but I highly recommend avoiding the P Zeros. PSS is a superior tire in every way (ESPECIALLY in the rain).

The reason for going with the P Zeros is cuz the car comes with those and I can use the 265's for the front and just order 295's for the rear! I won't be tracking the car besides the Nurburgring and Autobahn!
