help me make exhaust decisions !!

hey guys.. now that my car is officially ordered I Am keeping myself occupied by making a mod list (stuff to order for when the car comes or shortly after)

I have narrowed down the exhaust to 4

-Eissemen race
-RPI
-Gintani Race
-meisercraft GT2

Here is my question though ... coming from a z06 I still want that loud, throaty, exotic v8 sound out of this car

Which exhaust will get me that the most without having to do a catless x-pipe (not trying to throw CEL codes or cause problems with no cats )

also what is the deal with some exhausts needing connecting pipes??

I am new to modding german cars so any insight is much appreciated !

Had Gintani Race before, it was tooo loud, at least for me.
Friend has Meistercraft GT on his car, it sounds pretty good, more like a exotic car, very high pitch sound, do not know if GT2 sounds the same.
Currently I have Eisenmann Race, I like it the best, very little drone compare to Gintani race.

I think you should add akrapovic to the list. You will however probably want the full evolution system (high flow cats which require a tune or code deleters) to get the sound you want. I did so and have no regrets. Sounds aggressive and no drone IMO. You will have no performance gain without getting a full exhaust.

Have had both the Akra and Eisenmann Race on. Hands down the Akra is the best made exhaust available. In terms of sound, the Akra is nice but was just way too quiet. The Eisenmann Race is quite the opposite. Obviously as slip-ons, both will be quieter than with an x-pipe.

Meisterschaft GT2 is hands down the best sounding catback available for this car...it will give you the high pitched/exotic F1 sound your looking for, as opposed to the Gintani which is more deep american muscle sound.

Both the eisenmann race and meisterschaft gt2 should be at the top of your list, but I would choose the meisterschaft because it looks better with the split tips.

coming from a z06 and want that great v8 sound...don't go with akrapovic hahahahah your wallet will be lighter and you won't get anywhere near the sound you want. the meisterschaft sounds like what you need

im glad someone noticed. akra and performance are great but way overpriced imo and do not fit the bill of what op wants. it's actually getting quite old when everyone and their mothers suggest akra when ops clearly state they want something loud

Heres my ER. The camera does NOTHING for the actual sound, but you get the idea. Not a high pitched sound, but a deep throaty growl. It sounds very aggressive and exotic.

when you order it with the connecting pipes, do they eliminate the resonators ? or is that a seperate mod

Connecting pipes aren't included in the price of the muffler, its additional. The connecting pipes will connect the muffler to flanged connection where the OEM muffler connects to the upstream exhaust. Just upstream of this flange are the resonators. The resonators on my car have been replaced with a spool piece of straight pipe.

Yeah I am going to order connecting pipes as well.

my car is a lease so I am most likely going to leave the resonators and cats alone.

I hear that the meisterschaft GT2 will be crazy loud even with the resonators and cats ,

My z06 had stock resonators and cats all i did was the "connecting pipes" and axle back corsa portion

I know the EVO is the best thing since sliced bread but the OP didn't include that in his list. Think he wants something loud and obnoxious.
