I've been looking for a light weight front section (w/ secondary cat delete) as well, but all the products available on the market are very expensive... |

Here are the infos and video from Fabspeed. Definitely great price for what you are getting.
Dyno video link: Fabspeed Motorsport’s 2ndary catbypass X-Pipe replaces the unnecessary set of catalytic converters on your E92 M3 for more power and sound. This product is very simple to install and complies with warranty and state emissions. The primary catalytic converters are not removed so there is no C.E.L. with this product. Click here for the dyno video. FSTOP7 thank you for the compliments and if you are familiar with the bypass pipes for the Cayenne vehicles we offer, these are very similar as you replace just the 2ndary set which do not control emissions and do not have 02 sensors. Retail price is $625 but for forum members, price is $595 for the catbypass pipes. You can call Fabspeed directly @215-646-4945 or email Joey@fabspeed.com for more information. That's right, front end will require cutting between the 1st and 2nd cats, cutting is done 4-6 inches above the secondary cat, then welding needs to be done. The opposite end will be a bolt on and off to the stock muffler, no cutting or welding require. This x-pipe replace the secondary cat and the resonator. Hope this clear things a little, it should be a simple process, and can be done done at a good mechanic shop. |

It should fit any exhaust that make for the M3. I would like to see the combine gain as well, since I am still thinking which muffler to go with. I am trying to get Fabspeed to make a muffler for the M3 at really good price. I really like their full exhaust system on my brother 997.

I thought the full RPI exhaust was headers back? If it is, then you won't need this since the RPI already gets rid of the cats.

Not to mention you are violating federal law (and probably state law) by tampering with the emissions system. Also, the amount of hydrocarbons you are releasing without cats is exponential compared to if you had cats. The cats are on there for a reason. That reason is to meet emissions standards for that particular model year. By altering any part of it, especially removing the secondary cats, you are increasing your emissions. FYI

My father had Fabspeed midpipes on his Cayenne Turbo a few years back. The product itself was top quality and sounded fantastic.

Thanks for the info. Cutting and welding if problematic as that makes it really hard to go back to stock. I want to keep that option for various reasons. I guess what I really want is a complete front section with a set of high-flow cats.
