Thanks will look it up. I'm looking at the aFe Stage 2 Air Intake Pro 5R, I had the aFe stage 2 on my old E92 335I and loved it.

aFe isn't really popular on the M3. More the Macht Schnell stage2. but intakes are not really worth it on the M3, a simple drope in (AA, MS, BMC) is more than enough.

PS. the Gruppe-M rep still costs you an arm and a leg....

Eurotuner dynotested the AFE and GruppeM. The AFE showed no gains. The GruppeM showed 10 rwhp. You can find the articles online.

Skip the cold air intakes and just run a BMC drop-in filter. You won't gain anything from a cold air setup, just less money in the bank.

Yeah just saw it and is $3K which I think is way too much for an intake

I went with Macht Schnell Stage 2. It's affordable, sounds and feels great.

Was the stock car in the dyno a later model without the restrictive stock charcoal filter of the early cars? I think the difference would be greatest for the early cars.

what's considered an early car? ESS supercharger replaces the entire intake setup too, right?
