Battery Cable S/B
Curious if anyone has received a notice or completed this recall at their dealer in Toronto. I don't dealer service my car, but it is showing all the symptoms of a failing battery cable behind the fusebox. Will try to bring it to BMW Toronto later this week to test my luck.

Did you receive the notice in the mail? I never received one... but my car is showing the signs of the problem and falls into the build date of affected vehicles. In any event, I have an appointment at Toronto next week,

I've noticed this recall on mybmw.ca portal. Never received anything in the mail.
From what I've read all E9x are under this recall, but I guess if you don't complain dealers won't fix it. doogee posted a part number for the recall here -> http://www.m3post.com/forums/showpos...03&postcount=3 more info in that thread too |

Symptoms are intermittent loss of power to varying degrees when trying to enter the car. Temporary fix is "jiggle the fuse box". I actually found the entire service bulletin in .pdf online below.. Going to bring this with me to the dealer next week. https://www-odi.nhtsa.dot.gov/acms/c...3v044-9933.pdf Also my windshield washer fluid reservoir has decided to start leaking (another common E90 problem). Safe to say, October has been a bad month for my M3 so far. |
