Question about air compressor

A quick question, I went to put some air in one of the rear tires yesterday and the small compressor that came with the car stopped working. Is the compressor something BMW would replace if it fails like in my case?
Thanks in advance folks!

Aren't the tires filled with nitrogen?

Not sure but I think they should.

Mine were. A bit of air will not hurt IMO. IIRC, it has been discussed before.

Yes, BMW should replace it as it's not classed as a wear and tear item and it came with the car, thus warranty applies.
