That looks really interesting. Nice to see that the car never moves after it's parked. I wonder what the wait time is to get your car back?

They aim for about 2 minutes. Pretty cool system! Great way to save space and lower expenses.

Apparently there are only 2 in the US. If you look at the wall it looked like about $10/hr. I'm sure the monthly rates are cheaper overall also. It's being used in a apt. building here in NYC, according to their website. Investors were able to take a 100 car garage and transform it into a 67 car garage with retail space on the ground level and residential properties on the upstairs, while only giving up 33 spaces. Pretty revolutionary if you ask me. Seems like their target market is high end condos in cities with limited space.. I could see this thing easily becoming popular.

Yup. I saw it in Tokyo, it's pretty similar with this one. Totally different with the one in F&F3

Where in the video does it talk about the E9x? Just because there is a E9x in a video that has nothing to do with E9x, doesn't mean it relates to E9x.

Fixed!

From what I saw on the wall, the parking rates are actually pretty good! Much better than the $40 or so I paid for 2-3 hrs parking in Manhattan recently.

Probably more than 2 years... The apartment that I lived in Tokyo back in 2001 has one already, and it wasn't exactly a new apartment.

That is a good question because hacker can easily download your car from that parking lot

In Japan they barely have any land so they had to come up with ways to cope with it. It's amazing what people can do with the limited resources given. Gives a whole meaning to "when life gives you lemons, you make lemonade".

It probably should have been posted in "off topic", but who cares? What's the big deal? I thought it was a pretty good find.

To the op....my only concern if I was parking there would be wait time both during drop off and pick up, if everybody showed up at once! Like maybe right at 5:00 for example.

And don't forget that the garage is right in Chinatown. Once you get out of the garage, you will get stuck in traffic.
