I really enjoyed all the pet pics. I live with a German Shepherd and an Australian terrier (she who must be obeyed)

I like all sorts. Probably my fav are dauschunds because my grandparents had two of them and they were my first dogs to ever be around.

I love weimaraner's, boxers, pits, rotts, dobermans, mutts. I actually like my cousins poodle. They are badass hunting dogs and she is so freaking smart. And not all sissy looking. She retreives doves for crying out loud. Any dog that can do that is cool in my book.

German Shepherds are by far my favorite, I like all animals, but I'm not a fan of small dogs at all. Bengals are my favorite cats, exotic looking and they are very interactive with their owners.

I love labs. I grew up with them and we occasionally breed and had a few litters. It was pretty cool. We currently have 3 yellows, the mom and 2 of her puppies from he last litter. My bother has a black from another of the mom's litters. Just a happy family haha.

My wife and I are currently thinking of getting a chocolate lab. I've had nothing but yellow and she had a black so we figured we'll try the third color.

Cats are too finicky, they can either be fun or bitchy. I like the fun ones but unfortunately I'm allergic to cats.

I did not know there were a breed of dog called "these". Could you give me more detail where "these" breed come from?

Nice dog btw

I grew up with tons of different cats, and its really hit or miss with them. Some are super friendly and sociable, just like dogs; but most of them are either really timid and reclusive, too squirrely to get comfortable with for fear of getting clawed to death, or dont have a personality and are just meh. Plus everyone is allergic to cats. Nobody really likes them.

Without them and their inherent sillyness, though, there would be no lolcats or random youtube compilations. Cats are therefore, completely essential to my daily internet amusement.

That and that stupid ass liter box. I hate those things. I'd rather step in dog shit in the yard than have a liter box in my home.

There are plenty of cat haters in here....good gosh. Cats (and dogs) personality are mostly about how you raise them. All the cats we've ever had are VERY social and are like part of the family. People that get cats because they're cute as kittens and then don't pay any attention to them afterwards end up with anti-social animals. Most of the time it has nothing to do with the animal, but more with how the owners raised it. If you get a cat and then ignore it (don't play with it, socialize with it, show affection) then it's going to grow up like that.

not true at all. my mom is a huge animal lover and babies the hell out of all of her cats. they are all raised identically. some cats turn out awesome, some are shitheads.

Owning a pet is kind of like being a slave owner, isn't it?

Yes, I'm sure you treat your slaves, er, pets, well.

My favorite type of cat is a dead cat.

But all dogs are bad asses in some way!
