As a friend use to tell me, when dealing with crazy people you have to look and act crazier than them. For some reason even crazy person knows when someone is crazier than them and do not want to mess them them.

I heard him speak at a friends kids school in the islands and he claims to be part native American hence all the native american garb, He also said he carries the mace/pepper spray stuff because people always want to challenge him. He's not a very big guy but goes everywhere with an entoruage. Now his wife that was one beast of a woman, not sure what the deal is there.

When I was in Hawaii (O'ahu) last Spring, I drove by his house. His front gate is just as gaudy as him. Also, the locals that worked at a nearby resort said he was a total ass. NO tips, demands everything, etc. Apparently not the lovable "people person" he appears to be on tv.

He's probably trying to look tough and represent his Native American Heritage. Dog is only 5'7" so he probably has a short man complex. That is why by his own admission he wears two inch boots.

To look like the Ultimate Warrior!!
It was a decent show (cancelled). I got the opportunity to tour the beautiful island of Oahu...watching most of the episodes. It was on Netflix so it was something to watch. They never showed the house with the big brown gate. Unless its been changed when that picture was taken, the show aired his Hawaiian home with a motor operated (steel) gate. The episode where his home gets raided by US Marshals was a taste of his own.
