M3 e92 wheel offset help required
Please can anyone help me out with confirming the following details I have had supplied for my new rims and tyres?!
2011 M3 e92 coupe (Australian version). Looking at BBS CHR 20" (Black) rims with Michelin Pilot Sport 2 tyres OR Continental Sport Contact 5 tyres. Sizing as follows: Front 20x9.0 ET24 255/30R20 Rear 20x10.5 ET24 295/25R20 Comments please for advice on Michelin or Continetal. Does the offsets sounds correct (having them shipped from UK so do want them to be wrong)? Also with the rear at 295 any scrubbing likely (considering will also be lowered on B&G or H&R springs)? Thanks. |

The wheels are okay, both size and offset. Cannot help much on the tire size except the "recommended" sizes are 245/30/20 front and 265/30/20 back. The Michelin PS2's are a known quantity - ie: excellent tires. The Conti Sport Contact 5 are fairly new and I haven't heard much about them one way or another.
A good and well known source of info (in the USA) is tirerack.com. Their site is very user friendly and even allows you to view wheels on your M3 (incl. car color). |

DBH - thanks for your comments! I have looked on Tirerack but did not see the tire advice you have noted. The site I am getting my pricing and information from is performancealloys.com (based in Northern Ireland). They have been good so far so fingers crossed for a smoth purchase. Will put up a post when everything arrives......but at this stage seems as though will go PS2 255/30/20 (Front) and PS2 275/30/20 (Rear. Just to be sure they don't scrub).
