When can we expect details on the 2013 M3?

Since it has all but been confirmed that the e92 will carry over to a '13 model year, when do you guys expect BMW to release package / option details? I have to think they will have something special in store for the final run...

I'm sure there will be no changes. There was nothing special when people thought that the 12s were the last year.

When my friend picked up a new '12 e92 m3, the sales rep said that bmw is going to have a special edition with more displacement to transition between the current M and the new f30 M3, I'll only believe it when I see it.

True, and a manager at another dealer showed me his order dates and it said the last day to put in an order for an m3 was May 31st '12. I'm just hoping bmw will release something ridiculous to the U.S. for once.

The small chance of changes for next month production (03/12) looks to be none, as normally those changes are published by now. Therefore by late April/early May we should see the 2013 E92 announcements as production starts on 07/12.

This will be a very interesting 2013 E92, as for the first time an "old" platform will have a newer model year than the "new"...

BMW is going to throw in an extra 30hp and other special items, and NOT increase the price....

There is no santa clause.
Size does matter
Money does make you happy

And BMW will not add features without adding to the price.

Yes, but still there will be a 2013 E92 when there was a 2012 and a 2013 F30. That is what is new...

I've said it a number of times already, I think BMW has a special sendoff planned for this E92 M3. Deservedly so. BMW has pleasantly and unpleasantly surprised me before though. I will say there is never a dull moment with this company these days. I guess that's a good thing.

There will be a special CRT edition, with $10k worth of bolt on parts, it will cost $180,000 and it will not be available in the U.S.

Very unlikely. There's no reason to throw a bunch of effort at the E9X series when the future of M3 is clearly headed in a new direction.

based on what my mil sales rep said, they cant even put your order IN until July....what are they going to do....stretch Jan - May order out for an entire year (Jul 12 - Jun 13)? I dont think so, I think we can order throughout the year BEGINNING Jul 12....JMHO.

They might roll one or two options into a package I think that be all, not worth waiting for I don't think ... besides I did not want to drive a model year ending with 13 so I got the 12 while the picking was hot suggest you do the same.

PS. Actually I got the 2012 since the year represents some very significant milestones in my life

Actually I've heard that there will be only a limited edition of the MY2013 ... only a certain number of the last true ///M3 will be build for certain parts of the world ... much like it was for the 1M.

So if you plan to order one you best sit by the phone and be ready to commit once word comes out.

Now if you believe all this then I have a London Bridge I can sell you for a great price

We have the same way of thinking, seriously... for some mystic reason I do not like to get any model year that ends with a 3, although I was forced to get one almost 20 years ago.

Next will be eating only from the right side of a plate or I will die crap like that...

Nah I think 13 just does not sound right to me my cars as far as I can remember never ended with a 13 no reason to start now. Now take 12 that is just right for a fellow that worked with inches most of his life
