August ED Delivery Info

Got this today with my ED confirmation letter:

Due to August factory closings, some orders may be pulled forward in production and therefore vehicles may go into 150 status sooner than normal. Please check the vehicle specifications to ensure they match the customer's request. We have been notified by BMW that the Munich factory will be closed and no factory tours will be offered during the month of August. We apologize for this inconvenience

Wow, I will be doing Euro delivery on August 6th as well. I got my confirmation letter a month back but suspected the car would be built in early July due to the factory vacation.
I'm just glad we can take delivery in August - imagine if everyone at BMW was on vacation. See you in a month! I ordered a AW/FR ZCP sedan and will spend 5 weeks driving all over with my wife and our 2 small kids. Should be an adventure for sure.

Didn't notice that in mine. 8/17 pickup confirmed three weeks back.

What time is your ED? I will be there from 1pm until they kick me out.

Not sure on the exact time of delivery. Plan to get to the welt 10ish and tour the museum for a few hours thentake delivery in the afternoon so probably will run into you. 6 months ago I test drove this car with my brother for fun never thinking I could buy one. What an addiction it causes! Where are you planning to go after Munich?

I am staying in Munich for the day, then I am flying back to Madrid Spain for a 12 day Mediterranean Cruise. Hopefully my car will be on a boat before I fly home.
