Is it worth buying now?
I am in the market for an 2009 M3 coupe, and wanted your guys opinion on this.
Not sure if this has been talked about. Since what I have heard that the 2011 M3 will be a twin turbo, is ti worth buying a 2009 M3 now? Or should i wait? Or should I look at another car? sorry if it has been discussed. -New |

Sorry, but this is one of my pet peeves. If this is one of your major concerns, you should probably never buy a car, a computer, or an electronic device. Something newer and improved is always going to come along in a couple of years. You'll save a lot of money that way, and you'll spend a lot of your life just waiting to have fun.
The classis dilemma is that a desirable product is sold at a premium price near it's introduction, and only becomes more affordable after the market gets a little saturated. Then it's time for the next great thing.

By the time the 2013 roles around, you would have probably paid off your e9X M3. Get the 2009...why wait until 2012-2013 for a car. By that time, you may be wealthier and you could probably afford something more expensive.

Stop wasting your life away, er I mean waiting . Like previously stated, if you can afford it buy it. You won’t regret it. Heck I wish I could have each generation of M in my garage, but that's just me.

Life's too short. Buy it now if you can afford it.

All E9x M3s, including the future MY2011, MY2012 and MY2013 are nearly 100% guaranteed to use the exact same 414hp naturally aspirated V8 found in the MY2008, MY2009 and MY2010 model. The F3x M3, due in five years or more will be a turbo charged six cylinder. |

However, if you don't got enough funds laying around don't get it then. Be smart and just save or invest in something else. Remember cars automatically depreciate!

You guys were a little harsh, as he said he's a new member. I say buy it now too but then again I was first in line when the new M came out and had no self control in order to wait and get a better deal.

Easy answer. Lease You'll end up using it more just because you have to use the miles. You'll also end up enjoying it more than you would if it were sitting in the garage or worrying about dings and dents. Buying always makes it seem like an eternal life choice. If you lease, you're driving a car you want and looking forward to the next one. I have another 2.5 years on mine which seems like an eternity. If i bought it I'd prolly feel like the clock is ticking on it. But that's just me.

GTFO n00b. If you want twin turbo buy a 2009 335i. Anyone that signs up as "NewMember" is a troll anyways. Probably a 335i or GT-R owner.
