RIGHT! Finally! Going bigger is not always the best solution after having 295s.

I'm planning to stay with 295's......I think 305 would rub on the factory set up......Phil

The bigger the tires size the more weight, which defeats the purpose of my FIs.

You Stud.....when did you get some FI's? And yes that would be true in your case. But since my CH-R's already weigh 25lbs. and they are my daily wheels, I don't notice it until I put my track wheels on...............Phil

I had them since last year! I'll update photos soon. Just slapped them back on for spring and had BBK installed. My FIs feel as heavy has my stock 219s because of the larger tires....

35 is the ratio on the OEM sizes. You'd want an aspect ratio of 30 for the 285, 35 is too tall for that width.

Isn't the overall diameter for 285/30 going to be too short? OEM overall diameter is 26.3". A 295/30 PSS has an overall diameter of 26". Wouldn't this make a 285/30's diameter somewhere in the 25.8" range?

Depends on whether you're referring to aesthetics or performance.

Yes, 285/30s would be smaller in diameter than stock. Whether or not that bothers you in terms of looks is a personal matter. Whether or not that bothers you in terms of performance (increased rubber on road vs additional shorter gearing due to smaller overall diameter) is dependent on your performance needs.

Personally I don't mind gearing the car a little shorter.

Shorter is definitely preferable to taller, IMHO
