The worst is the type of valet where you pull up on the curb of a busy ass street and hop out and they drive away down the street and around some corner to park it god know's where. Because you know that you're running every possible risk...burnouts, potholes, driveway scrapes and parking block scrapes. I never ever valet at these types of places.
I don't have a huge problem valeting in places where I can see exactly where the car is being driven and where it will be parked. But my biggest fear is that they'll scrape the paint on the bottom of my front bumper which I keep as clean as the paint on my hood. |

The problem with the waiver printout is that your valet ticket usually says u agree to hold them harmless if anything is lost or stolen or damaged etc if u choose to park there...so which one will have more merit in court?? this is what im wondering

Lets see pictures of your self enflicted key scratches I used to be a valet at private partys in the Beverly Hills, Bel Air area. There were no parking lots just streets in the hills to park on. I would cruise off about 15mph, pull around the corner, and get all over those cars. I could smell Michael Douglass' clutch burning on his black Mondial after a particularly spirited drive! Those shift gates are a challenge the first time. Anyway, if the valets are not parking in a lot that you can visually see, you may as well not even bother with the 1200 mile break in period. There gonna beat the crap out of your car worse than you ever would. I should know!! P.S. Sorry Michael, Warren Beatty, and countless others. I was only 19 at the time! Using valets is a pretty bad idea with our cars in my experience. On a recent trip to Pittsburgh, I arrived after midnight at a hotel with no self-parking. I was too tired to take it somewhere else.
Anyway, as I pulled into the garage I noticed the guy eying my car pretty carefully. I don't know. Just gave me a bad feeling. So I made note of the odometer just in case. Next morning, lo and behold, I had two extra miles on my odometer. That maybe doesn't sound like much, but think about it, two miles in downtown Pittsburgh is some serious driving. Fortunately, the guy didn't do any damage. But I complained and last I heard, it sounded like he'd lose his job (as well he should). Filing it under lessons learned. Never doing that again! |

I wouldn't let my father drive my m3 let alone some pimple face turd valet. They probably stole money from your car as well. When we valet cars in BKLN in the 80s we used to take 50 cents out of each car, used to take the hot cars up and down sheepshead bay at about 80mph.
never valet your car smarten up it's 2011 |

no lie... This lady was trying her best to valet my car and I wasn't having it. First off she was fighting about it being company policy so i said whatever i'm leaving. Then she lets me park it. After that I throw the V1 in the glove, lock it and take the key. She thinks I took the key to the car and she can't do nothing with it. Was she seriously expecting me to let her valet my car if 1. I doubt she knew how to drive stick, 2. she didn't even know how to start it and 3. she thought I took the key to the car... The people they put to valet cars I swear...
