Im shocked. Are we supposed to believe that someone in a car with similar bhp and weight did a better job of a standing start than an M3 owner? Oh come on, it's well known that anyone with an M3 will beat any car with similar or less power to weight ratios. M3 drivers are the bestest, everyone knows that.
Pardon? Whats that? You think maybe, just maybe the M3 driver was driving a car that has similar performance figures as the RS4 so they should be neck and neck but he screwed it up? Dont be daft, he's an M3 driver, ergo, godlike!

Well said Leg,
People have get pass their own narrow mindedness and see that there is other brands out there which are equally as capable. I think BMW USA has one hell of a propaganda campaign going on which has brain washed the BMW buying American public. |

Here I will end the debate. Not with stupid street racing, quit doing this people.
The M3 is faster, period. Two races from roll and standing. (Races start about 1:20 in the video) Stock cars, two guys in each car. Race two from standing, RS4 gets a huge jump, but the M3 runs her down easily. I love the RS4, an awesome car. You have to take into account, it has been out awhile. A new RS4 is on the way. |

In one example the RS4 is quicker and in another the M3, all cars are difference and thus different result will occur each time. Point is that each is as capable as the other.
P.S. Autocar tested both and up to 150mph the difference between them was only 0.2s. |

In order to step out of this "narrow-mindedness", I would suggest heading over to the Audi forums where you will see that even Audi fans are unhappy with the RS4. The RS4 vs. M3 debate is getting old. -Carl |

Audi has nothing on BMW. Had an 01 S4 and 01 330i at the same time. 330i was always more fun to drive
2 weeks ago took an R8 on a test drive, did not blow me away. When I pulled out of the lot in my M3 I knew that I could not have bought a better car for the money. |

Whatever the case is, I´ve been more than impressed by RS4´s, so it certainly is a worthy opponent.

I dont understand you guys? The video shows proof that the Rs4 did take the M3 from the dig, it has AWD like I said before. Their are plenty off mods you can do to an RS4 thats a joke
If you guys are going by stats and if you put the same driver in both cars, its obvious the M3 will win hands down, but that doesnt mean the RS4 is a bad car or it doesnt have good performance. Im almost 19, and I can tell racing doesnt mean anything. The the real race and winner is on the track, where you can take the car to the limits and really see who's a better driver. The stats you guys see all over on the internet or magazines and even on TV, its all done by "Professional drivers." HALF the stuff they do to push the car to its limits we cant do half of that, they spent hours killing the car to get 4.3 seconds 0-60 for an M3 and the same with the RS4. I highly doubt the people in this thread have much experiences as those drivers in those magazines. Going to the track once or twice doesnt give anyone the right to say this car is better then that car.

This race is not about going around a track but which is faster straight line and the rs4 wins both times. from the dg they left even and the rs4 raped him and from the roll no one left before the third honk so no one had a unfair advantage. But if you want to go to the track I will gaurantee you, that rs4 combined with the driver inside, would be able to take anyone you car throw at him in a stock e92 m3 on the track. |

On the road my guess is things will reverse as awd not only gives extra traction out of the corner, especially at less than 9/10th (the point when awd chassis usually understeer) but they do give the driver added confidence to push a little harder than most rwd cars as it's easier to deal with understeer than it is with oversteer. So basically what I am saying is I agree with on when it's on a public road but disagree when it's on a track. |

All wheel drive man.. You can see the M3 spun its wheels and the RS4 shoot out... No matter who is driving this will happen..

OMG! The M3 lost a race to a direct competitor? Impossible! No way!
M3 owners, pull your head out of your fat ass. I can hardly wait to see most M3 owners running 13.0 sec on average at the track.

first off the M3 should go mid 12's easily and those are only the people who post their results, I can only imagine how many m3 drivers go to the track and are too embarrassed to post up their times because they are in the high 13's and 14's.

Either way, if people are worried about who's fastest from light to light, get a C63.

I've seen E60 M5's running 13.0 @ 111mph at the dragstrip 5-6 times in a row. They simply couldn't do any better at my track. Magazine racing FTL!
