3 error codes at the same time
Ok here we go. I have a 09 E90 with 51,000 miles. While I was driving to work this morning 3 error codes went off. There was nothing different with my drive than any other day. The three codes are listed. The car ran fine after the codes went off and the only thing I noticed is I can’t lock the doors with the remote and I can’t get into the trunk without the key. what do each of these codes mean?
CC-ID 42 DSC control system/ride height adjustment CC-ID 97 multiple restraint system fault CC-ID 207 Central electronic failure, stop vehicle I tried to search each of these codes but it seems the posts all have different reasons and none have all 3 at the same time. Do I look at each code separate or is there one thing that would cause all three codes? I also have a question that I bet is a big no no. Can I disco the battery and reset and see if they come back? |

When was the battery last replaced. With multiple errors like that I would start with power source (battery, alternator). When my battery starts to go, being unable to lock/unlock with the fob is my first indicator.

I had the battery tested last month. The battery had died 2 times prior to me testing it. If I was to replace the battery are the ones at the local parts store good enough or should I get one from the dealer?

Next question, when you replaced the battery, was it registered so the car knows its a new battery. |

Our cars are really sensible to batteries. I would replace the battery and register it. Search on this forum for battery replacement. There are several threads. People are using the Varta G14 AGM or Bosch S6 AGM, Diehard gold size 49, or Duralast H8-AGM. Make sure it's CCA 850 A and 92 Ah
