I'm no stranger to BMW.

Over the years I have had countless cars with countless different styles but the E92 M3 has always held a special place in my heart.
In 2011 I was in Germany for work and managed to visit the Welt for an afternoon. As luck would have it you could rent a car for the day and I managed to spend 6 hours touring the Autobahn and the countryside of Munich in a brand new M3

In 2012 I bought a 335i E90 which became many things over the years;
big dumb wheels on air? Sure

Shortly after that I started to get more interest into auto-x and track days so out came the air and donk wheels and over to coils and NT03's

Can't be a boy racer without a giant wing, right?

2013 brought more changes; M-sport bumper, canards, more track time and a love for JDM wheels

The 335i and N54 platform was fun and could easily make lots of power but was a nightmare trying to keep cool and out of limp mode on track. I grew tired of the problems and decided to do the first widebody of the car and have more fun on the street

Soon enough Hard Motorsports started to release some great products for the E9X chassis and I switched over to their widebody kit, mirroring the WTCC style that was gaining popularity

This was almost the final version of this car, barely being driven and growing tired of the platform, it was put up for sale

With the car now sold I vowed to move away from BMW and try my hand at something else. That didn't last long when another dream car ended up in my lap

The E39 M5 was an incredibly fun car, a screaming V8 and 6-speed manual made for some incredibly fun drives. It was a very high mileage car and it did suffer from rust but was dead reliable for the length of time I owned it.
There isn't too much to do with it but when the opportunity to own a one-off set of BBS E88 in E39 M5 spec I had to do it

I (rarely) drove the car for a couple trouble free years before the lingering thought of catastrophic engine failure and the annoyance of old rusty bolts pushed me to think of something newer. The car sold incredibly quick and I was now in a position to explore some new options.
A local friend had mentioned one of his buddies had started a car import service winning vehicles from the Japanese auctions. A quick conversation and I had a bid in for this 2008 RHD E92 M3

After winning this low KM and surprisingly clean example for a price I was not expecting, the car started its journey via ship from Japan. Just over a month later the car arrived at the port of Vancouver and was ready for pickup

This brings us to today. After doing the usual maintenance it has been a non stop shopping spree of parts and plans, a very large pile of items going on very shortly;
- Recaro Sportster GT
- KW HAS kit
- Vorschlag camber plates
- Ridgeline Motorsports GT4 lip
- Alcantara steering wheel
- Varis euro GT style wing
- LCI tails and harnesses
The E88s did not go with the M5 and turned out to be a great spec for the E92 with hub centric rings

That's enough rambling, I'll be posting more updates here and over on my Instagram: team_not_you
Thanks everyone here for all of the great info and guides, it has been very easy getting back into the E9X platform!

This sounds sick. Excited to see it all come together! Where is the steering wheel from? Love the center line stitching.

DBCarParts on eBay, exact reason why I went with that one. Great seller and arrived super quickly.

I have always lusted after JEllis and another IND build for as long as I can remember.
The combination of a deep front lip and the Varis euro gt wing lived as my desktop wallpaper for ages.
When I finally got into an E92 I knew it was going to be the preferred choice. Yes I bought the GTS wing first. “It’ll look good!” I told myself. And it does.

But it felt too small. I did unbox it, test it, put it back in the box and sold it.
Securing a legit Varis euro gt is a very expensive and very long process, 14-18 months was what I was quoted.

I took a chance on one of the many Taiwanese made copies.
Until a legit one pops up this will have to do

Bro, don't post on this guy's journal something completely irrelevant.

Back to the thread... the Varis Euro GT wing will look great on your car. I say order a real one and play the waiting game.

I ordered a Voltex Type 1S wing for my car in September 2023, and am scheduled to receive it in March 2025 (18 months).
