My wife has a DD 2015 STI Launch with 400whp. Before that she had an '11 STI minivan...errrr wagon....ummm hatch lol She disliked the idea of getting a //M. "Honey that's your thing" Wouldn't come on the test drive. She took it for 2 days and was talking about getting another E92 M3.

Winning!

As I said in my earlier post, we both own and share the M3. Still it was funny when my friend spied my wife at the gas station this morning. I told him to give her a break, the daily driver Toyota SUV has the filler on the left so she was probably on autopilot when she pulled up!

My GF is actually pretty skilled at driving the car.

Her car has a flat tire right now so she's been driving both my M3 and my M5.

She knows to stay under 3K until the oil is warm, not to floor it at low RPMs, avoid potholes, etc...

I hadn't noticed before that the gas filler door is a different shape on the 'verts. Wish they'd put the gas door on the same side on all/most cars; always have to think about it when pulling into the station since mine are on different sides on different cars (and really, wouldn't you prefer to have it on the driver's side?).

It doesn't really make sense to put the filler door on the driver's side, particularly given the ubiquity of self-serve stations. If the filler is on the driver's side, you have to open your door into the pump or into the concrete pillar between the pumps to get out to fill up. In my opinion left-side filler doors make sense only on cars from countries where the driver sits in the right (UK, Australia, Japan).

Today she said "I love driving your car, it makes an awesome sound when I press on the gas pedal" 😂
