Dct Shift Boot Installl

Bought this alcantara DCT shift boot and have no idea on how to install it



can anybody play help?

Gonna be tough hope you have some upholstery skills. The bottom is probably held on with a zip tie like the ebrake but the top will probably be glue. I bought mine complete so never took it apart

iND it’s M color stitched not yellow but assuming they still make them they’ll do yellow. I’m pretty sure they took apart the plastic part or the know that lights up that’s on there with 3m tape

Looks like you'll need to remove the ring/clips from your oem boot and glue to the new alcantara boot. I believe you might need to cut the leather oem boot off as well because it's connected to the DCT knob?

You do have to cut. just take your time. It's not too bad to do.
Hardest part was gluing the new one onto the frame where the clips will snap back in.
